Everything from spacecraft and\u00a0computers to MRI scanners, cellphones, and the Internet\u00a0can be traced through autistic minds.\u00a0At <strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">A<\/span><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">A<\/span><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">S<\/span><span style=\"color: #339966;\">C<\/span><span style=\"color: #33cccc;\">E<\/span><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">N<\/span><span style=\"color: #800080;\">D<\/span>&#8216;s January 20 <\/strong>meeting AASCEND Co-Chair Gregory Yates explores the history of\u00a0autism as\u00a0rocket fuel for scientific innovation \u2014 obvious\u00a0in\u00a0the lives of autistic scientists Henry <strong>Cavendish<\/strong> and Paul <strong>Dirac<\/strong>, and in the <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>out-of-the-box thinking<\/strong><\/span> of autistic\u00a0&#8220;cousins&#8221; like <strong>Newton<\/strong>, <strong>Darwin<\/strong>, Kurt <strong>Godel<\/strong>, Alan <strong>Turing<\/strong>, and even Albert <strong>Einstein<\/strong>.
