When: Sat Mar 17, 10am \u2013 noon<\/strong><\/span> (The following event was cancelled due to the speaker being stuck in Sierra snows.)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n The event is a presentation by\u00a0Eric Zimmerman,<\/strong>\u00a0 creator of the Buddy Project.<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0The Buddy Project is a non-profit organization through\u00a0which Eric reconditions\u00a0out-of-service computers and makes them available to people with disabilities. To date he has placed over 400 computers.\u00a0Come hear Eric tell\u00a0how he came to create this valuable\u00a0service, and what he has learned about thriving\u00a0with autism<\/strong> <\/span>from his own\u00a0experience. Eric is also the author of two inspiring books<\/strong> available free online, Anything but Ordinary<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>(pdf viewable online), and Dare to be Different<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>(epub download).\u00a0Eric has also recently taken up auto racing.<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n Parking is available in the garage at 255 12th Street, with a reasonable flat rate for Saturdays.
